in better scandinavian news...

...the debut album from Swedish indie pop songstress Lykke Li is being released in the states this week. Produced by Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John, the album seems to straddle a line somewhere between Robyn and Feist, a cliched comparison considering how often it comes up but nonetheless still apt, predominantly indie but with enough electro flourish to rise above most. Sure, it's not the most consistently awesome recording - certainly nowhere near as great as Robyn or The Reminder - but it's certainly worth your time and has the makings of a great summer album. Anyway, I had a helluva time deciding on a song to post but decided on "Dance Dance Dance", the first "real" track of the album that does more to encompass her style than the kinda lame album opener. Plus I could totally dance to it (duh!).
