A popular toy, winner of the 2007 Toy of the Year award at the Melbourne Toy and Hobby fair, has been banned in Australia.
Why? The popular craft tool, called Bindeez, contains chemicals which, when ingested, can be converted by the body into the toxic drug gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid, otherwise known as, yep, GHB. And with the purchase of a plane ticket and a Saturday night trip to Apex I will have procured a financial windfall sure to last through the Christmas season. Also, how appropriate is it that something containing a frequently gay club drug is called Bindeez? Get it? I'll be here all night folks.
