This wasn't even on my radar:
Yes, that's Allan Quartermain and Wilhelmina Murray, in comic book form, which of course can only mean, NEW LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN!!! How did I miss this? I guess I've been too busy pining for this baby
also by Alan Moore, essentially a retelling, in graphic novel form, of Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, and Peter Pan, from the point of view of their female protagonists. Oh, and did I mention that it's borderline hardcore pornography? Yeah. And it's supposed to be fucking awesome. But that's not what we're here to talk about, so.... I can't overemphasize the genius of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen series of novels, rife as they are with fantastic visuals and obscure literary references, and one can only hope that a new release will do something towards washing away the stench left behind by the disastrous filmed adaptation. Anyway, the new volume, part 3 of the series, will apparently be released as a full on 200+ page graphic novel called The Black Dossier sometime next month. And as is befitting a series that featured the rape and murder of the Invisible Man by the notorious Mr. Hyde, it will come complete with a Tijuana Bible packed in it's pages - brilliance!
