For me, Sweden and Italo-Disco makes one hell of a combination (see: Sally Shapiro, Kleerup), so it should come as no surprise that I'm totally digging Secret Eyes, the debut album from Cloetta Paris, a Swedish electro-pop duo that is most frequently compared to the aforementioned Ms. Shapiro. It's an apt comparison, especially if you use Shapiro's "Anorak Christmas" as a starting point, as it echoes the poppier sound found on Secret Eyes, which is arguably more dancefloor friendly than the darker Disco Romance. Anyway, here's the title track from the album - not my favorite, but I can't find "Beat Street" or "Did We Collide" on hypemachine. Oh well.
