a HILLBILLY that can type

In the grand tradition of perpetually cribbing from boinboing, an article from Radar about a pop culture historian Bill Geerhart, who, posing as a ten year old looking for advice about dropping out of school, wrote letters in the late '90s to several prominent figures, notably a few incarcerated serial killers. The whole project is worth checking out - he also wrote follow-up letters recently - but here's my favorite response, from Richard Ramirez, aka "The Nightstalker":

If that's too small and/or illegible, a transcript:

Billy,
Greetings. Got your letter. What school do you go to? Who's your friend? You should stay in school. Send pictures.
Richard
Somehow it doesn't even need the terrifying (yet somewhat comical) personal stationary to make it really, really creepy.

Also, please note how gorgeous Erik Menendez's handwriting is. It's like, borderline arousing.

Jesus that is beautiful handwriting. At first, I thought you meant the terrifying children's handwriting in the first letter and while it is scary, it certainly is not arousing....unless you are a serial killer. Remember the much under appreciated depiction of the menedez bros in "Cable Guy"? I do.
