Not too mine or probably anyone's surprise, last night's Heroes, um, Volume 2 finale was generally a disappointment. Sure, we got a bit more action, some suspense, and some people died, but still, more whimper than bang. And Sylar shooting up in an alley while delivering what was possibly the lamest, most cliche closing line ever? Piss-poor cliffhanger if you ask me. And about those people that died. Nikki, I can deal with - sure, I kind of love Ali Larter, but her character was going nowhere fast. It's a shame though that she feel victim to that shitty, pointless New Orleans plotline that has about as much going for it as the Wonder (former) Twins. Nathan, I'm a bit more upset about, but with the rate people are revived with "magic" blood I can't help but think he's not down for the count. Seriously though, why can't we fucking get rid of Parkman already? If you're going to have a character who spends a significant amount of time, well, thinking, thus requiring long takes of just his face, could we not have someone, you know, marginally attractive? Thank god for the hotness of Peter mitigating the repulsiveness of Matt during the barely-climactic scene at Primatech. And just thinking about having to fly with that disgusting blob on my back? I'm sure Nathan was happy to be gunned down after that unpleasantness, especially considering that it wasn't the first time it happened. Saddest thing about this episode though? The fact that, compared with most of the shite from this season, it was actually pretty good.
