This second record from the anonymous British DJ was one of two dubstep albums, along with Various’ The World Is Gone, to find its way onto my ipod this year. It’s arguably the darkest entry on this list – the manipulated vocals and muddled beats create the perfect atmosphere for a lonely walk home - though I’m still thoroughly convinced that the standout track, “Archangel”, could, with a little tweaking, tear down the gay club. But that’s just me. Short entry, I know, but I don’t know what else to say about this album. Just listen to it – you’re sure to be impressed. And possibly depressed. In a good way. Promise.
