nerdy pretty thing

I know I'm not the only one having severe issues with letting go, and I must admit this chat transcript w/ JK Rowling from mugglenet (yeah) helped ease the pain a bit. Also should note, as part of our Great Brits exhibition at NPG, we've got a pretty bitchin' portrait of JK herself on display done by artist Stuart Pearson Wright, past winner of the BP Portrait Competition at NPG London and recent addition to the pantheon of people that I have severely embarassed myself in front of while pissed off my face.



Also on display, a video portrait by Sam Taylor Wood of a sleeping David Beckham, which I can't post here due to very severe licensing restrictions but can be seen being lusted over in one of my myspace pics. The show closes in September, and if you're in the DC area I recommend checking it out before it's replaced by some boring exhibition that involves neither crazy 3D portraits of children's fantasy authors or videos of shirtless footballers. Bollocks.
