time for action

Dear Reader,

Whether for their thirst for blood, their callous disregard for human life, and/or an apparent ability to virginally reproduce(!!!), the shark is inarguably one of the greatest threats to humanity, and something must be done. So it is with the help of the Discovery Channel and their state-of-the-art navigation system Shark Runners that I have set out from on my humble vessel, the Grim Kitty, to locate and observe these aquatic killers in hopes of throttling their murderous rampages. It won't be easy, but with the assistance of my loyal crew, Bruce and Veronica, and generous grants from the Piermont Research Group provided after every encounter, I truly feel I can bring some semblance of safety and security to our oceans. Wish me luck.

Yours,
Capt. G. S. Parlier

P.S. Do let me know if you have an interest in challenging me for research dollars - the life of a researcher is frequently a dull and uneventful one, and it would be nice to have something else to do besides ogling Bruce in his wetsuit.
